📢 Project Overview

The team at the Hisbaret Ranch hired me to redesign their existing website to polish their online presence, update their services list, and increase contact calls.

✦ About the client: Hisbaret Ranch

Founded in 1988, the Hisbaret Ranch is a piece of America nestled in the Italian hills. Hisbaret offers anyone interested in approaching the splendid and captivating world of horses, or those already passionate about western riding disciplines, especially Reining, suitable facilities, complete, and personalized services.

✦ What were the client's needs and goals?

The client's objectives for this web design project were multi-faceted, aiming to significantly enhance their digital footprint.
Primarily, they sought to refine and polish their online presence to reflect their professional evolution accurately. This involved a comprehensive overhaul to update their service offering, better articulate their range of services, and visually showcase their structures and facilities more effectively.
Furthermore, a key objective was to improve user engagement and conversion by streamlining the website's interface to enhance the ease of understanding and contact initiation. By strategically addressing these goals, the project aimed not only to revamp their website but also to improve their rate of incoming contacts, fostering a more robust and responsive online platform for the client.

🚀 The Process

I completed the project in the following steps:
✧ Inspecting the existing website: The initial stage involved a comprehensive examination of the existing website structure. The site, developed on Joomla, presented a challenge due to its blog-oriented format, which inadequately aligned with the intended purpose. Notably, sections like 'About' and 'Services' were formatted as blog articles, significantly impeding user navigation. The design, with its poor accessibility and unappealing layout, compounded the usability issues.

✧ Competitor and market analysis: A thorough market and competitor analysis was conducted to identify industry best practices and inform the project's strategic direction.
✧ Site Architecture and Copywriting: Collaborative discussions with the client led to the development of a streamlined site map that encompassed all essential elements. Subsequently, an extensive effort in copywriting was undertaken to craft all necessary textual content.
✧ Moodboard and Figma Designs: A moodboard, encapsulating the essence of the Ranch, was meticulously curated to guide the design process. Colors, fonts, and other visual elements were then identified to create the initial designs using Figma.
⤷ Resolution of a Key Challenge: Addressing a critical concern, the acquisition of high-quality images to represent the Ranch's services necessitated a dedicated photo session, organized and executed by our team.
✧ Figma to Flazio: Following client approval of the Figma designs, a Content Management System (CMS) was carefully chosen. In consideration of the client's requirements, budget, and constraints, the CMS tool Flazio was selected for implementation.
✧ Iterative Feedback and Refinement: Each completed page, inclusive of responsiveness, underwent meticulous review and feedback processes from the Hisbaret team, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
✧ Enhanced Accessibility and SEO Integration: Rigorous efforts were made to enhance site accessibility, incorporating essential elements such as favicons, alt-tags, and meta descriptions to render the website fully SEO and GDPR-compliant.
✧ Final Project Delivery: The conclusive phase encompassed a comprehensive review to ensure optimal website performance, SEO adherence, accessibility, and responsive design. The final website was delivered and shared with the client for publication.
