mar72 is my online name as a graphic designer for purpose-driven brands and creators that seek fun and functional design. I bring strategy into my designs to create visuals for digital formats that reflect you and your brand.

The 72 in "mar72" comes from 72dpi. 72dpi is the highest resolution or number of dots per inch monitors can show, which makes it the setting recommended for web images and files.

The logo combines pixelized and sans-serif characters to capture my specialization in digital design. It was made by adding a mosaic filter and threshold adjustment in Photoshop before refining the vector in Illustrator.

Although I started thinking of creating a style guide for myself, I did not strictly define a particular palette or selection of typefaces. As a recent graduate, I'd like to gain experience and experiment with different styles to discover my preferences.

To officially launch my Instagram, I animated a teaser reel and logo reveal on After Effects.

The teaser features a loading text animation over moving clouds edited to have a bitmap and pixel/dither look. The reveal references Nintendo's Game Boy Advance start-up animation by replacing it with my logo. To create this, I modified a template of the intro made by Cyrakek.
