The Pixels Photo Gallery is a beloved part of the Carnival cruise experience, capturing millions of memories for guests. However, the digital interface used to browse and buy these photos had not kept up with modern design standards.

The challenge

The Pixels Photo Gallery is a beloved part of the Carnival existing tablet system was slow, confusing, and critically, failed to meet basic accessibility standards. This created long queues, frustrated guests (especially the large demographic of older adults), and led to abandoned purchases and a negative overall experience.

The goal

To execute a complete overhaul of the app with an accessibility-first mindset. The new design must be modern, legible, and intuitive, empowering all guests to find and purchase their memories with dignity and ease.
