I have been working as a freelance audio engineer and podcast editor for
Gospel in Life since October 2023. Gospel in Life is a nonprofit organization that makes the sermons and writings of the late pastor Dr. Timothy J. Keller available to people all over the world through podcasts, radio shows, and their website. As their only audio engineer, the scope of my work with them is vast. Every month, I'm tasked with the following: clean, remix, and remaster 12-14 old sermon recordings (the number of sermons varies slightly from month-to-month); produce and engineer remotely recorded voiceover tracking sessions with a voiceover artist (via Zencastr); clean, edit, and mix those VO recordings (almost 100 individual clips each month); assemble, mix, and master 12-14 individual podcast episodes from the sermons I've already cleaned and remixed (complete with intro, outro, midroll, and background music underneath those VOs); and finally, assemble, mix, and master 20-22 radio episodes using those same sermons (again, complete with a variety of VOs, background music, etc.). In all, I've cleaned, remixed, and remastered almost 200 sermons, created almost 200 podcast episodes and over 300 radio episodes, and have significantly raised the production quality of their content in my time there. According to their website, the Gospel in Life podcast is downloaded approximately two million times every month. A link to Gospel in Life's primary podcast can be found
here (with an example of a recent episode below), and a standalone limited podcast series on marriage that I worked on in the late spring/early summer of 2024 can be found
here (again, with an example below).
