One of my first projects at Radiant Digital was the conversion of a recently produced three-part video series into a limited podcast series. "The Bible Brief Podcast" features two educators and friends in lighthearted dialogue with each other about how, in their view, the New Testament book of Revelation is grossly misunderstood in many circles of American Christianity today. Each episode seeks to untangle common interpretations of Revelation and present alternative ways of reading and understanding an admittedly confounding work of ancient literature. From a technical standpoint, this series presented me with many challenges, the primary one being how to deal with mic bleed. The audio from the original video shoot was captured in a suboptimal way, which resulted in a lot of mic bleed, room reverb, and low frequency rumbles, bumps, and plosives. And yet again, iZotope came to the rescue on all fronts. Lastly, I once again wrote, tracked, edited, and mixed the intro and outro for each episode of this series.
