I was hired by a client to record their bank transactions, post client payments, and manage payroll. They were using QuickBooks online. Unfortunately, many transactions were matched and posted incorrectly from the bank feed, and client payments were not posted.

I set up bank rules and recurring journal entry templates to solve issues. I also deactivated employees and contractors who are no longer employed, merged duplicate vendors and customers, and added clients missing from the system. I posted all missing payments and removed duplicate expense and deposit transactions with the help of the bank statements.

These processes allowed for accurate, streamlined transaction posting and better data accuracy. In addition, the automatic transaction posting from the bank rules reduced the time required to complete monthly bank reconciliations.
