To celebrate Black History Month 2024, Kahawa House Coffee reached out for help to promote their coffee business.
Kahawa House Coffee was born out of the desire to combine missions and coffee while simultaneously bringing attention to the culture and origin of coffee.
Kahawa House Coffee is a black owned coffee brand that was ready to start taking more online sales and taking on social media.
To honor that, they needed brand graphics that aligned with their new launch. The Black History Box, which is a sampler of all their coffee blends that also includes their newest roast, The Diaspora.
This client had no social media accounts for their brand and was open to direction.
Kahawa House Coffee needed:
Branded Black History Month graphics
Promotion assets
Campaign launch directives
Their branding and website was already established, however to communicate important attributes like:
Black Owned
Heritage and history
Direct trade sourcing of their coffee beans
Community
I added a green hue specifically for social media.
Kahawa Coffee’s main specialty is creating roasts from directly sourced Ethiopian coffee. They also source from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
For the campaign overview, I broke down each week into a unique focus. Each week had 3-4 core marketing activities to promote their new launch, a Black History Month focus, as well as educational and insightful focuses about the coffee brand’s ethics and mission.
🖼️ Social media graphics
The client opted to make the campaign graphics without the product photos.
The social media graphics were based on educational content that taught the important of coffee history, African history, and the difference between directly sourced and store bought coffee. I also included promotional imagery, event updates, and conversational graphics to support the campaign.
