The brief
A 25-year-old travel photography archive had to move from FrontPage to a WordPress setup the owner could edit, while preserving its original look and every important legacy address.
What I did
Built an inventory of 128 galleries and 4,786 photographs across mixed text encodings
Migrated galleries, captions, navigation and visual variants to WordPress
Created and verified indexed redirects for legacy paths
Rehearsed the launch with a rollback path
Result
128 galleries migrated
15,205 legacy addresses redirected
0 broken links after the switch, measured 2026-09-02
