As part of a practicum program at the University of Windsor with Black Moss Press, I was a Social Media team leader for Terry Ann Carter's poetry collection release campaign titled "First I Fold the Mountain." The goal of this project was to establish the book's presence online and expand its reach to audiences who may be interested in reading it, as well as showcase the students apart of the team creating the book. While followers for this project were low on this project the ultimate goal was to learn how to build a platform from the ground up and encourage book sales. My team was able to increase our platforms reach organically from January-April by posting a variety of content types including author interviews, facts and quotes relating to the book, and event promotions. We also management to outsell another author who released another book through the same publishing press on the same day.
