Introduction

Waste 4 Change is a waste management company that aims to promote sustainable waste management practices. The company focuses on providing waste management solutions to businesses and individuals. This case study presents the redesign of the Waste 4 Change mobile web application as part of the UI/UX Training Program organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information.

Project Objectives

The primary objectives of the Waste 4 Change mobile web redesign were as follows:
Improve the user experience by enhancing the usability and intuitiveness of the application.
Enhance the visual appeal and branding of the application to align with Waste 4 Change's mission and values.
Optimize the user flow to streamline the waste management process and increase user engagement.
Ensure responsiveness and compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.

Team and Recognition

The project was completed as part of the UI/UX Training Program, and I participated to sharpen my skills. The team worked collaboratively to deliver a high-quality redesign. The efforts were acknowledged with the following recognition:
"Gold" Badge: Awarded for outstanding performance and contribution to the project.
"Completion with Honors" Badge: Recognized for successfully completing the project with exceptional results.
Top 9 Teams: The team was ranked as one of the top 9 teams participating in the training program.

Design Process

Ideation: Brainstormed and generated design concepts and ideas based on the research findings.
Wireframing: Created low-fidelity wireframes to outline the application's structure and user flow.
Visual Design: Developed a visually appealing and cohesive design language that aligns with Waste 4 Change's branding.
Prototyping: Built interactive prototypes to test and validate the design concepts and user experience.
User Testing: Conducted usability testing sessions with representative users to gather feedback and iterate on the design.
Iteration: Incorporated user feedback and iterated on the design to address any identified issues or concerns.
Final Design: Produced high-fidelity mockups and design assets for development handoff.
