Designing a Social Wallet for Bundle

Bundle was founded to make crypto access more approachable (elegant, simple, fun and intuitive) for everyday people who want to buy and own several assets. My Role & Contribution

I led design from conception to launch in partnership with the founder, 1 product manager, and 4 engineers. I designed end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant, raising our bar for quality by making crypto UX more approachable for everyday people.

I reviewed 40+ apps (both custodial and non-custodial apps); had coffee chats and interviews. We learnt a few things:

Most apps were rigid and assumed an experience about how buying and investing in stablecoin assets work

They had technical concepts around their apps: “key phrases, seed phrases, backups”

It left some users feeling intimidated about using the product

Most of the users access Onboard through mobile devices while most merchants access through a desktop. I ensured the designs scale responsively for both mobile and desktop

To promote retention, we tested rewards for milestone activities with a beta group and it performed well.

Monthly transaction volume of $56 million

Growth 650,000 users in 16 month, with little marketing, purely word of mouth
