Development of Wedly Wedding Vendor Marketplace

Wedly started from a personal pain point: planning my own wedding felt chaotic. From venues to fireworks, finding reliable providers meant jumping between scattered sites and DMs. There wasn’t a simple, centralized place in Romania to discover, compare, and contact trusted wedding vendors.

So I began building Wedly — a modern, focused marketplace where vendors can list their services for free and couples can browse clearly organized categories like locations, DJs, catering, and fireworks. I designed the onboarding to be effortless for providers and the search experience to feel calm and straightforward for couples.

Early interest has been encouraging: the free listing model lowers the barrier for vendors, and Wedly is well positioned to become the first dedicated wedding vendor app in its segment in Romania. I’m actively developing core features and shaping the experience based on real conversations with both couples and providers.

Next up, I’m planning sponsorships at major bridal fairs to grow awareness, along with reviews, scheduling, and ratings to help couples make confident decisions. Under the hood, I’m building with React, Next.js, Prisma, and MongoDB to keep the platform fast, reliable, and ready to scale.
