BookHive is an internal platform that streamlines book borrowing and lending among employees, offering features like tracking, due dates, and personalized recommendations.

Client: Working with Idealoft Studio, they wanted an internal app that could track borrowing and lending of books among themselves. Because they had complained that when they borrow or lend books among themselves, they had a tough time tracking who had what book.

To bring BookHive to life, we crafted a focused 4-week sprint plan. Each week targets a specific milestone—from user research and ideation to design, development, and final testing. This timeline ensures a structured, efficient workflow, delivering a polished and user-friendly app that meets company needs within a month.

We mapped out each real-life journey of what borrowing a book entails, from contacting the lender, asking, borrowing and then elapsing the timeline of use.

We also mapped out the lender's real-life journey.

Then we used this to create the mapping for our potential solution.

Our next step was to benchmark a couple of book apps that existed.

We created a focus area for each app using our feature mapping.
