Technical hiring managers often struggle with managing multiple platforms throughout the recruitment process, from sending test invite links to shortlisting candidates.
This fragmented approach leads to chaos, particularly when dealing with a large pool of candidates, making it challenging to effectively track and manage the hiring process.
Our Process
Design Thinking Process
Before developing skillspace, we had established a MOOC platform on dphi.tech. Recruiters, familiar with our MOOC offerings, would periodically contact us to suggest potential candidates.
Our research primarily revolved around these recruiters and the data they initially supplied.
Using Google as a starting point
Some questions we had to answer to get us to the point of ideation
How do hiring managers navigate the hiring process for technical roles?
What obstacles do they encounter along the way?
What's the typical duration of the hiring cycle? How many platforms must they juggle simultaneously?
These inquiries highlight the complexity and challenges inherent in technical hiring practices.

Our goal was to ensure simplicity on the home screen for easy navigation. Thus, we streamlined the design to focus on a single task: creating tests. After completing a test, admins can access progress reports. Additionally, they can draw inspiration from a library of pre-generated test questions during test creation.
