Carinspect Website Design and Development

"By far the best freelancer experience I have had. Highly skilled, fair pricing and great communication. Matt completely transformed our website and I hope to continue using him. I cannot recommend him more highly."

The Challenge

Carinspect is one of Australia's leading vehicle inspection providers, operating nationally through both mobile and workshop services. Their existing website wasn't doing the business justice — it lacked visual credibility, the user journey was unclear, and it wasn't converting the way it should for a company of their size and reputation.
They needed a full redesign that would modernise their brand online, build instant customer confidence, and create a clear path to booking. Crucially, the site also had to protect their strong existing SEO rankings through the transition — a redesign that tanks organic traffic isn't a redesign worth doing.

Discovery & Strategy

The project kicked off with a deep dive into Carinspect's goals: build trust faster, convert more visitors on mobile, and present their credentials, partnerships, and technology in a way that reinforces authority. I audited competitor sites, mapped the ideal user journey, and worked with the client to define a content hierarchy that put trust signals front and centre — verified reviews, industry partnerships, and inspection technology — at every stage of the experience.
Design
In Figma, I built a mobile-first design system grounded in a fresh green palette, modern typography, and real inspection photography. The automotive industry has a trust problem online — too many sites feel generic or outdated — so every design decision was aimed at making Carinspect feel credible and current from the first scroll.
Trust signals were woven throughout rather than confined to a single section. Credentials, reviews, and partnership logos appear at strategic points across the user journey, reinforcing confidence as visitors move toward booking. Clear, consistent call-to-actions guide the flow without feeling aggressive. The result is a design that balances professionalism with conversion focus — it earns trust, then makes it easy to act on it.

Development

The Webflow build carried two parallel priorities: a polished front-end experience and careful SEO preservation. Carinspect had strong organic rankings they couldn't afford to lose, so I implemented detailed redirect mapping, metadata optimisation, and structured content architecture to protect their search presence through the migration.
On the CMS side, I built out a robust system powering location pages, testimonials, and inspection reports — giving the team full control to add and update content without developer support. This was essential for a national business with location-specific service pages that need to scale. Subtle interactions and a mobile-first responsive build completed the development, delivering a fast, polished experience across every device.

The Results

The redesigned site positions Carinspect as what they are — a national leader in vehicle inspections. It looks the part, builds trust immediately, and moves visitors toward booking with clarity and confidence.
Since launch, the site has doubled in daily visitors giving a 100% increase! It has maintained its strong SEO performance through the migration, improved the mobile experience for their predominantly phone-based audience, and given the team a scalable CMS they can manage independently. The client's words say it better than mine — this was a project built on communication, trust, and delivering real business value.
