Problem:
The business had multiple products with different value added to different markets and dissimilar target segments. So, the global business, even with 7yrs of journey, was struggling with market adoption and product-market fit. They needed to refine their business model and operational strategy.
Action:
I improved 3 things - (1) Changed distribution strategies as per demographics backed by market research to cater to customers' needs. (2) Fixed the pricings and created separate revenue models (separate acquisition funnels embedded) for the 6 revenue streams to obtain good margins on each of them over time, rather than working with every streams on a single model trying to obtain a blended decent margin. (3) Optimized the cost structure by allocating the resources effectively on each channel.
Result:
(1) Growth skyrocketed with 7x customers in 4 months. (2) 15% overall cost-reduction on certain distribution channels. (3) Raised $5 Million from a VC with a decent valuation.
