Solar installers run sales, site surveys, quotations, project execution, procurement, DISCOM liaison and maintenance across spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups. Nobody can see the order book, cash position and plant health in one place.
What I built
SolarOS is a 16-module ERP that covers a solar project from the first enquiry to lifetime maintenance.
Sales: CRM and leads, site surveys, quotations with bill of quantities, subsidy and payback computed automatically, and government tenders.
Projects: live boards with stage gates, daily progress reports, material control, DISCOM liaison, net-metering and subsidy claims.
Supply chain: purchase requisition to RFQ to PO to goods receipt with a full audit trail, and serial-numbered inventory across warehouses and sites.
Service: an O&M console with SLAs, and IoT generation monitoring against design estimates that raises tickets on its own.
Finance and people: milestone billing, receivables ageing, attendance and payroll, and document approvals with an audit log.
Six role-based workspaces: director, sales, project manager, a mobile-first site engineer app, O&M technician, and a client portal.
How it is built
Next.js and TypeScript on a real SQL database. Every module reads and writes real data, so the demo is a working application, not a click-through prototype. The multi-tenant SaaS version adds Postgres row-level security and is guarded by more than 1,400 automated checks.
