All Consuming
The sadness, the darkness, the loneliness, the silence.
It’s almost unbearable, engulfing every crevice of your
mind,
Dragging you down deeper and deeper into the abyss.
You reach the point at which you begin to convince yourself
it’s time to give up.
Tearing yourself down; insults, criticisms, everything
hurtful under the sun you can think of.
But then you remember: why waste the time?
And you talk yourself down while tearing yourself down even
more.
And you cry. And you scream. And cry some more to the point
of exhaustion.
You have no will to live, but no desire to act on your
thoughts.
Stalemate.

This is a poem that I wrote recently after battling through some major situations that had happened in my life and I wasn't in such a positive state of mind.
