Research & discovery
Italy generates a substantial amount of textile waste annually, with an estimated over 1 million tons of textile products placed on the market. Only about 10% of these products are properly collected and managed, with the majority ending up in landfills or waste-to-energy plants.
In 2020 textile consumption per person in the EU required on average:
Conducted interviews:
We conducted interview with 8 target audience and used it in the earlier stages of the design-thinking model to help us empathize with our users.
Two of the interviewees were stakeholders, and one was the owner of a small slow-fashion brand, while the remaining five were individuals from our primary target audience.

Thematic analysis from interviews data:
Thematic analysis guides us to transform qualitative data into actionable insights such as skill development, creative community, educational entertainment activities, social impact, new items.
After we conducted interviews, thematic analysis started with coding qualitative data. Through a systematic process of comparing segments of text within and between codes, we arrived at themes.

User segmentation for effective service design:

Ideation
Digital ideas for this service provided some constructive points for users, like stay informed, engaged and connected with it. The process became somewhat more tangible and accessible.
To facilitated this, we used some implementation ideas:
A creative Hub activities plan( Each day, specific workshop for different user segmentation & need).
2. One section for events.
3. Broughtall informationabout each workshop in one page.
Digital ideas
Validating hypothesis
Gathering all necessary information at their fingertips, reducing confusion and increasing participation.
A structured approach with daily activities and event updates boost user engagement.
A simplified booking process will increase workshop attendance.
User flow
The user flow begins with users login on the app and exploring available workshops. They can then book a workshop, choose payment, and attend the session at a local center.
High-fidelity wireframe
Prototyping
In the prototyping phase of this textile waste management service, a basic version of the app was developed to test core features like booking workshops, events.
