‘Write a New Song’

Design and marketing strategy for a book that teaches the secrets to developing a habit of writing songs.
As a long-time songwriter since the age of 10, I often found myself answering friends’ questions about how I maintained such prolific songwriting habits while they waited for inspiration to strike. During the pandemic in 2021, I decided to compile my notes and exercises into a structured format, creating a book for anyone wanting to start writing songs.
Titled Write a New Song: Discovering the Hidden Songwriting Skills Inside of You, this book was born from my practice diary and years of experience. I not only authored the content but also designed the cover and the entire book. The cover concept features a blank paper overlaying the title, symbolizing the endless possibilities each new day brings and the idea that it’s up to us to fill that blank page with a new song.
In addition to writing and designing the book, I developed and executed the complete marketing and paid media strategies. Using Meta Ads and Amazon Ads, I crafted a comprehensive promotional plan that included online promotion, social media engagement, and targeted advertising. The result was extraordinary: Write a New Song became a #1 Amazon bestselling book, achieving top sales in the UK, US, Germany, and Brazil within the first three weeks of its release.
The book was released in four versions: Paperback, Hardcover, e-book, and audiobook, with the audiobook version narrated by award-winning actor James Fouhey.
Through independent development and execution of the marketing strategy, I successfully drove sales and increased visibility for the book, demonstrating the power of strategic design and marketing.
