JPScents — from fragrance discovery to a saved order
The problem
The owner relied on repeated WhatsApp conversations to explain the catalogue and help customers choose a fragrance. I proposed and built a storefront that lets customers make those choices independently, while preserving the business’s manual payment and delivery process.
My contribution
Product discovery, customer journey, responsive interface and full-stack implementation through Novier Labs. I connected the public catalogue, scent guidance, size selection, persistent cart and checkout with protected catalogue, inventory, customer and order administration.
How it works
Customers browse perfumes, choose a size, place a saved order and receive a readable reference. A prepared WhatsApp handoff carries the order into the payment and fulfilment conversation. The current release takes no online payment.
Engineering
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Motion, Prisma and Supabase PostgreSQL/Auth/Storage, deployed on Vercel. Order creation and stock deduction are atomic; duplicate-submission protection and cancellation stock restoration protect the operational workflow.
Result
The conversation starts with a selected fragrance and saved order instead of a catalogue explanation. The live site provides a clear route from discovery to the owner’s existing sales process.
