AcrossTheHorizon — customer experience rebuild for study abroad
Role: Frontend Developer at Pay4Me · Team contribution
The problem
An existing Laravel application needed key customer-facing experiences rebuilt and connected to the backend before launch.
My contribution
I rebuilt customer-facing interfaces and worked with backend engineers to integrate them within the existing Laravel application. The work focused on delivering an improved customer experience within the product’s established architecture.
Product context
AcrossTheHorizon helps prospective international students explore schools, programmes and study-abroad opportunities. Its public site brings together educational resources, expert assistance, scholarships and related services.
Outcome
The business generated more than US$60,000 in revenue in its first week after launch. This was the business’s launch result; my contribution was the frontend rebuild and collaboration on integration.
Technology and project context
Laravel (PHP), with frontend work integrated alongside backend engineers. The cover shows the current public website for context; the case study describes my contribution during my time at Pay4Me.
