BeBold was a AI driven subscription model ecommerce for the wine industry. Pre-OpenAI Era, we developed a system in which the user could discover new wines based on their taste, and not on their wine knowledge.
Our hypothesis was that people love wine, but they are frozen in front of the wine shop when deciding which to take home. Our surveys estimated that most of them decided the wine based on price, label or recommendations.
Hence we created this system to help them decide which wine to take based on their tasted. We used a survey with specific questions about how they drank coffee, or if they ordered desert after a meal.
We ended up selling wines to some countries around EU, and were about to be acquired by the second biggest wine ecommerce in EU, however, crisis came and the project was cancelled.
