Meal Planet is a mobile app designed to help users decide what to eat in a fun and engaging way. Inspired by Tinder’s swipe mechanism, the app displays one dish at a time. Users can swipe left to skip or right to select, helping them quickly find a meal they’re in the mood for. The goal is to simplify daily food choices while offering culinary inspiration.

Working on Meal Planet as part of the Application Design module at my university was an enriching and rewarding experience. From the early concept phase to the final prototype, I had the opportunity to explore the intersection of functionality, aesthetics, and user psychology. Designing an app that feels both playful and purposeful taught me how crucial it is to balance visual appeal with intuitive usability.

The project received very positive feedback from both peers and instructors. They appreciated the clear focus on user interaction, the simplicity of the core idea, and the polished, engaging UI. One of the highlights for me was seeing how well users responded to the swipe-based mechanism during testing — a reminder that small, familiar interactions can make digital products feel much more natural.

This project strengthened my skills in user-centered design and prototyping in Figma. I’m proud of the result and excited to continue building products that combine creativity with user value.
