As a member of the graphic team at gameXcite, I played an integral role in shaping the visual design of Asterix & Obelix: Heroes, a turn-based card game. My primary focus was on UI design and 2D asset creation, where I contributed to the overall artistic direction and helped ensure that the game maintained a cohesive and engaging visual identity.

One of my main tasks was to create sophisticated, hand-drawn illustrations for the skill cards used throughout the game. My Challenge was to maintain the original comic style while ensuring that each card was instantly recognizable and easy to understand for players.

Another important aspect of my work involved designing in-game icons that were used to represent various items, abilities, and other important gameplay elements. These icons had to be clear, easily readable, and align with the overall visual theme of the game.

A crucial part of my role was to plan and create UI mock-ups that served as the blueprint for the game's interface design. I worked on visualizing layout structures, ensuring that elements like buttons, panels, and menus were not only aesthetically pleasing but also user-friendly. Once the mock-ups were approved, I went on to design final interface assets, including pop-ups, panels, buttons, banners, and sliders. Each of these elements was crafted to maintain consistency with the game’s overall visual language while ensuring functionality and smooth user experience.

Throughout my work on Asterix & Obelix: Heroes, I collaborated closely with other members of the graphic and game design teams to ensure that the visual elements aligned with the gameplay mechanics and the overall game vision. My contributions were integrated into the final version of the game, and I’m proud to have helped bring the Asterix world to life in this new and engaging format.
