Pulse is a prediction media app that lets users put real stakes behind their opinions. The existing brand leaned playful and informal, but the product had bigger ambitions, sitting at the intersection of financial markets and cultural media.
This is an unsolicited brand concept exploring a bolder direction for Pulse's visual identity.
The core idea: predictions aren't just data, they're opinions. Loud, confident, sometimes wrong ones. The brand needed to reflect that energy. Rather than following the dark fintech aesthetic of competitors, this concept leans into the media half of "prediction media," pulling from broadcast culture, sports, and editorial design.
Jagged shapes as a graphic system. A full-spectrum color palette borrowed from TV test bars. Aktiv Grotesk for weight and clarity. A mark that's simple enough to live as an app icon. And a tagline that says exactly what the product does.
The result: a brand that feels less like a trading platform and more like a cultural moment you can bet on.
