Context:

You’ve recently started working as a freelance UX designer and consultant. One of your projects involves helping your friend Augustine launch an app that connects different types of visual artists in your area. Augustine is a visual artist and a small business owner who runs a tattoo shop. She is interested in starting a virtual artist cooperative, bringing local artists together, and exchanging ideas about tattooing and other forms of visual art. She wants to see where it goes and how it can help her business in terms of increasing awareness and cultivating innovation.

Her tattoo shop currently has two full-time employees (herself included) and 6-8 freelancers on rotation. She has a limited budget but is eager to learn more about the digital and UX design space.
