Turning Figma Designs into Elementor Sites Clients Can Edit

Overview

Between 2020 and 2022 I built WordPress sites in Elementor Pro for clients who already had a finished design. A designer handed over the Figma file, and my job was to turn it into a working, responsive site the client could keep editing after launch. The four sites below range from a one-page campaign site built in two days to an eight-page site for a mental health clinic.

Youth & Family Institute: 8 pages in 2 weeks

Youth & Family Institute is a mental health practice offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy, with offices in West LA, Pasadena and Claremont. I built the site from the designer's Figma file on the Hello Elementor theme. Colors and fonts live in one global kit, so every page pulls the same styles and a brand change is made once. The header is a single saved template shared by every page.
The site is still live on the same build today. It now has services, a "What is DBT" page, training, FAQs, a blog and a bio page for each member of the team.

One card layout for the whole team

The team page shows every clinician in the same card: photo, LinkedIn link, name, role and a "Read Bio" button that opens their own page. Because each card follows one layout, adding a new clinician means adding a card and a bio page, without redesigning anything.
Every clinician gets the same card and a bio page.

Medbrain: 2 pages in 7 days

Medbrain makes a diagnostic support system for healthcare workers in resource-scarce settings. Their site is a two-page landing site in Elementor Pro: a full-width hero, sections for the problem, solution, validation and team, and a sign-up form built with Elementor Pro's form widget. I built it from Figma in seven days.

Two smaller builds

I also built a one-page campaign site for Nathan Bean (votethebean.org) in two days, and a two-page site for UXNetwork in seven days. Both were Figma-to-Elementor builds. Neither is online anymore.

Result

Four sites shipped on time from someone else's design, from two days to two weeks each. The two larger ones are still running on the original build years later, and the clinic has kept adding pages to it.
