Overview
Quovus is an NDIS Behaviour Support Provider delivering specialist clinical support to individuals, families, and wider communities. The internal Clinical Hub Dashboard plays a critical role in coordinating referrals, clinician assignments, document management, and real-time case updates.
The Challenge
The existing dashboard had major workflow inefficiencies that were slowing down coordinators and introducing risk into the referral process. Key issues included:
Manual referral data re-entry, creating avoidable workload and risk of human error
Difficulty and delays in allocating referrals to clinicians
Data inconsistencies and frequent loss of important case-related details
Lack of transparency and clarity in document sharing workflows
Limited support resources for coordinators using the system day-to-day
These challenges led to reduced productivity, miscommunication, and an inconsistent user experience.
My Role & Approach
As the Lead Product & UX Designer, I was responsible for end-to-end redesign of the Clinical Hub Dashboard.
Key Contributions:
Conducted user research through face-to-face interviews and Google surveys with coordinators
Mapped user workflows and identified bottlenecks within referral and document-handling processes
Created low-fidelity wireframes and validated them with stakeholders through weekly demo sessions
Developed high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes focused on simplicity and clarity
Ran unit testing with 12 coordinators to gather real-world feedback and refine UX flows
Collaborated with the development team to ensure seamless integration into the final product build
This was a 2-month iterative project, guided by continuous client feedback and usability testing cycles.
Impact & Outcomes
Reduced manual data entry by ~45% through streamlined referral input and automated data flow
Improved referral-to-clinician allocation efficiency by ~38%, enabling faster case assignment
Increased data consistency and reliability by ~50% due to improved system mapping and reduced duplication
Enhanced transparency in cross-team document sharing by ~60%, ensuring better alignment and communication
Increased coordinator platform adoption and satisfaction by ~35% after iterative testing and refinement
Overall, the redesigned Clinical Hub Dashboard improved operational efficiency by over 40%, resulting in a more intuitive, reliable, and workflow-friendly environment for both coordinators and clinicians.
