FrameProof: Visual Feedback and Version Approval

FrameProof is an independent Noerong product for designers and small creative teams. It keeps artwork, revision-specific feedback and review decisions in one focused workspace.
The problem
Image review often breaks down across chat threads, email and files called final-v2. Comments lose their location, old approvals are mistaken for new ones, and nobody knows which revision is ready.
What I built
A private visual-review application with pinned comments and replies, immutable image revisions, before-and-after and side-by-side comparison, exact-version decisions, role-based access, expiring guest links and a JSON activity record.
Design decisions
The artwork stays central. Compact asset and comment rails keep context close; relative pin coordinates stay aligned when images resize. Complete compositions are fitted without cropping. On phones, drawers make room for the image, with keyboard controls and focus restoration for dialogs. The warm neutral palette and restrained terracotta accent distinguish actions without competing with the work.
Engineering
React, TypeScript and Vite power the interface. Supabase authentication, database policies and private storage isolate projects. Revision creation is atomic, server-side checks enforce roles, and guest links are hashed, asset-scoped, expiring and revocable. A new revision never inherits an earlier approval.
Built with Bolt
Bolt created the initial review canvas and database foundation. I integrated the product workflows, refined the interface, added tests and corrected security and accessibility issues through a focused local engineering workflow. The live application is hosted with Bolt.
Verification
The release passed 36 unit tests and 25 backend assertions, plus browser checks for private uploads, revisions, guest review, revocation and responsive layouts. Signup email confirmation was verified. Password-reset delivery and saving a downloaded export still require final checks on each buyer deployment. This is engineering evidence, not a security certification.
Scope and honest boundaries
The demo uses fictional Aster Studio artwork and device-local data. It is not a client case study and no commercial outcome is claimed. The product supports PNG, JPEG and WebP images, not video annotation, Figma sync, AI critique or billing. Guest names are self-reported. Review decisions are an activity record, not legal e-signatures.

Source kit and setup
The $99 source kit includes code, migrations, tests, setup documentation and a single-organization commercial licence. The separate $249 setup service includes the kit, one branded deployment and one scoped revision. Hosting, domains, email delivery and provider usage are separate.
