Overview
MyAfricanTeaBox is a premium tea brand rooted in African heritage, crafted to deliver more than just tea , but an experience of culture, authenticity, and elegance.
The brand is built around celebrating the richness of African ingredients while presenting them through a refined, modern lens.
The Challenge
The goal was to create a brand identity that balances:
Premium positioning
Cultural authenticity
Minimal yet expressive design
The challenge was to integrate African-inspired elements without overwhelming the visual system keeping it elegant, intentional, and globally appealing.
Identity Design (2024)
The original identity system was built with strong intention:
A logo mark that subtly reflects African essence
A color palette that feels rich, warm, and grounded
Supporting visuals that reinforce the brand story
The result was a cohesive identity that felt both modern and deeply rooted in culture
Brand Direction
The design approach focused on storytelling through subtlety. Every element was carefully considered to reflect:
Elegance → clean, minimal compositions
Authenticity → African motifs and nature-inspired forms
Premium feel → refined color usage and balanced typography
Design Refinement
The evolution stayed true to the original identity:
The logo remained unchanged
The core color palette was preserved
The pattern system was redesigned to feel more refined and versatile
Brand Evolution (2025 Refresh)
As the brand expanded, the identity system was revisited and refined to accommodate growth.
Rather than redesigning, the focus was on evolving the system while preserving its core.
Updates included:
Introduction of additional brand colors
Creation of a badge system derived from the logo mark
Expansion of visual assets and brand applications
Product System
With the introduction of multiple tea variants, color became a key tool for differentiation:
Green → Slim Tea
Brown → Rich (non-slim) Tea
White & Gold → Mixed variant (balanced blend)
This system ensures clarity while maintaining a unified brand presence across all products.
Extended Brand Experience
To strengthen the brand presence, additional touchpoints were developed:
Packaging applications
Merchandise design
Expanded visual language
These elements work together to create a more immersive and consistent brand experience.
Result
The refreshed identity positions MyAfricanTeaBox as a brand that is:
Visually elegant
Culturally grounded
System-driven and scalable
