Nimbus Nectar Newsletter

Nimbus Nectar is a newsletter devoted to lighter-than-air aircraft, both present and future. I wrote the Welcome newsletter, Follow Up newsletter and put together their weekly emails and help with creating profiles for important people in the industry.

The welcome letter for Nimbus Nectar needed to reflect the passion the founder felt towards lighter-than-air aircraft like airships and hot air balloons as well as inform the subscriber what to content to expect moving forward. The founder wanted the welcome newsletter to not overwhelm the reader, so my goal was to keep it simple and create a couple succint and reflective paragraphs to pull the subscriber in.

I created a follow up email that would be sent to the subscriber a couple minutes after the welcome email. Since the welcome letter is simple and specific to the founder's passions and goals, the follow up email serves to provide the subscriber with published content immediately. This is important in two ways:

We do not know when the subscriber will subscribe, so we'll provide them with content immediately in the case we sent the weekly newsletter out the day before.

The follow up newsletter provides them with a taste of the content while they're immediately engaging with our emails and website. This greatly increases the likely hood of the subscriber opening the follow up email.

I put content together related to the lighter-than-air industry and organize the content in ways that will pull the reader down the email. Content ranges from profiles of important people, current events, past events and related media.

This newsletter is a lot of fun! I'm always excited to write on different industries and topics. I became a copywriter because of my affinity for many subjects and my curiosity for the inner workings of all things.
