Declutter is a mobile app that helps users effortlessly sell, donate, or buy second-hand items. Whether it’s a piece of furniture you no longer need, clothes you'd like to give away, or affordable finds from others in your area — Declutter creates a safe, fast, and socially responsible way to declutter and contribute to a circular economy.
I designed the end-to-end mobile experience for Declutter — from research and user flows to visual design and prototyping. My goal was to make the app feel light, approachable, and intuitive, with minimal friction between the user and their intent to list, browse, or give.

My Approach
I took a user-centered design approach, anchored on 3 core goals:
Simplify decision-making — people hesitate to sell or donate because they’re unsure how or where to start.
Speed up the listing process — no long forms, no unnecessary steps.
Foster community and trust — people feel better donating or buying from familiar, values-aligned sources.
The product was structured around key behaviors:
Uploading and listing items in less than 60 seconds
Browsing by need or proximity
Key Screens Designed
Home: Personalized feed with various tabs
Sell/Donate Flow: Step-by-step item upload with auto-fill suggestions
My Listings: Manage items with status labels (active, sold, donated)
Community Profiles: Reviews, history, and verified status
