Communa

The Communa Studio team at Scout designed and began development of a web app to allow users to list their homes and rent out spaces on an hourly basis. We utilized competitor research and an understanding of our users to map out the most essential features for this web app. We created and user tested low fidelity designs, then transformed them into high fidelity designs after cultivating a brand identity for Communa. The Communa developers made impressive progress transforming the low and high fidelity designs into a website.

Renting homes is expensive - especially for students and young adults who only want to rent a space for a few hours for an event. The existing rental sites are catered towards overnight stays while traveling - and are often more expensive than a student’s budget. Communa provides the service to allow students to find affordable spaces to rent for networking, social, and other events - as well as rent out their own homes to their peers.

Created a high-fidelity design for our Communa client based on an iterative design process involving competitor research, prototype testing, and user research.
