When creating a product using imagery, be it through film/movie or games, there is almost always a need to create suspense! Being able to do this is essential for a composer, and luckily I have had requests to create some demos for this purpose.

Below you will find two demos that were made for separate projects.

Suspense is one of the most essential tools when telling any kind of story. We need it to build expectations and anticipation! There are a million ways to achieve suspense, but it is necessary to know what kind of emotion you want the reader, user, or viewer to feel when they move through your story.

The first track listed above was made as a demo for a Thriller. In this case we are anticipating the coming chase, action, and drama being built up by the character gathering all their things! The time is ticking, the character does not have enough time, and you know that it is all about to go South any moment now!

Track number 2 is a very different kind of suspense. This track was made as a demo for a horror movie! Here we are no longer anticipating a chase, action, or police barging through the door guns blazing towards the character. In this story the character is moving down the hallway. Slowly. It's dark, and musty, the lights are slightly flickering. There are weird noises coming from the room behind the door at the end of the hallway, and we are expecting something to jump at the screen to make the character scream!
