Chip is a UK-based savings and investment app designed to help users grow their wealth effortlessly through automation and intelligent insights. The goal of this project was to redesign the user experience and interface to better support financial decision-making, boost user retention, and simplify access to saving and investment tools for everyday users.

While the product had a strong underlying engine, the user experience lacked clarity, flow, and emotional engagement. Users found it difficult to understand how their money was growing, where it was being allocated, and what actions they could take to improve their financial habits. The challenge was to:

Simplify complex financial data into digestible visualizations.

Increase trust and transparency in how money is saved or invested.

Make the app feel more like a smart, helpful companion than just a tool.

Improve onboarding and overall app usability across saving goals, investment plans, and returns tracking.

As the Senior UX Designer, I led the end-to-end redesign process—from UX research and journey mapping to UI execution and prototyping. Key contributions included:

Conducting competitor analysis and heuristic evaluations.

Reworking information architecture and user flows for core actions (e.g., setting saving goals, viewing returns, managing investment pots).

Designing high-fidelity screens in Figma with attention to data visualization, hierarchy, and mobile usability.

Creating a design system for consistency across app modules.

Collaborating with stakeholders on user testing insights and iterations.
