When I embarked on the task of developing the visual identity for Vila Marra, a peaceful retreat by the Tisa in Čurug, I knew it would be special. The process, however, brought me even more inspiration and joy than I had imagined.
The brief
My client, a charming riverside villa nestled along the Tisa River in the quaint village of Čurug, is owned by a passionate Serbian family who deeply understands the evolving trends in modern tourism. The owners wanted the design to be a true reflection of the villa itself, from the color palette to the choice of fonts. Their goal was to convey the essence of Vila Marra, blending fresh, modern, and elegant elements into the visual identity. This design approach was not just about aesthetics but about ensuring that the villa's unique character and charm resonate with travelers, helping it to shine in a crowded market.
The design
The identity for Vila Marra draws inspiration from various elements of the villa itself, including the architectural design of the house, the serene pool, the presence of water, and the direct access to the Tisa River. The logo is a minimalist and elegant representation of the villa, enclosed within a circular shape that symbolizes the sun. The wavy lines with reeds represent the water and the villa's riverside location.
The typography and color palette were carefully chosen to complement the overall aesthetic. I used a combination of two elegant fonts—a serif font that conveys a sense of tradition and stability, and a script font that adds a touch of sophistication and fluidity. Together, these elements create a harmonious design that captures the essence of Vila Marra, blending natural beauty with luxurious comfort.
The vision was perfectly captured. The collaboration was flawless, and everything was completed in a short time, but in the best possible way. The logo has become the hallmark of our villa, and people recognize it as the face of our house. We can't hide our excitement. The colors used perfectly describe the atmosphere and energy of the estate, and everything was thoughtfully considered. Only praise from Vila Marra and a recommendation as strong as a house!
