Making invisible risk visible

Spark AI helps organizations uncover state-sponsored threats hidden across people, partners, suppliers, technology, and business networks.
The challenge was unusual.
The most valuable part of the product happens beneath the surface.
It connects scattered signals, reveals hidden relationships, and helps teams identify risk before it turns into exposure.
So the explainer couldn’t rely on a standard product walkthrough.
It had to make the invisible feel real.

The idea

I built the story around one simple transition: from hidden signals to visible intelligence.
Instead of starting with features, the film first creates the feeling that something important is happening inside an otherwise normal network.
Connections begin to surface. Separate signals start forming patterns. Abstract risk becomes something the viewer can actually see and understand.
Only then does the product enter the story.
This made Spark AI feel less like another analytics tool and more like an intelligence layer revealing what was already there.

The visual approach

The visual system followed the same logic.
Cinematic 3D, controlled camera movement, interface elements, light, and sound were used to gradually reveal information rather than show everything at once.
The video moves from uncertainty to clarity.
Scattered signals connect.
Hidden relationships surface.
Risk becomes actionable.
The product explanation and the visual storytelling are doing the same job.

My role

I led the project through PING Studio, the creative studio I run.
I managed the project across client communication, creative development, production, feedback, and final delivery, while taking full responsibility for the creative direction.
My role included:
Creative Direction
Story & Concept Development
Storyboard Direction
Visual Direction
Motion Direction
Project Management
Client Communication
Production Leadership
Hands-on Design & Animation
Final Delivery

The result

The final explainer gave Spark AI a visual language for something inherently difficult to show.
Instead of simply telling the viewer that hidden risk exists, the film lets them experience the moment it becomes visible.
The project was later recognized by Motion Design Awards.
For me, that recognition reinforced the core idea behind the work: even highly technical enterprise products can feel clear, cinematic, and memorable when the visual concept is built around the product itself.
