Legion of Vapers: UK Vape E-commerce Store on WooCommerce

Overview
Legion of Vapers is an award-winning online vape store in the UK. It sells vape kits, pre-filled pods, coils, tanks, mods, e-liquids, nic salts and accessories from dozens of leading brands, with same-day dispatch from its UK warehouse.
I designed and developed the store on WooCommerce. It's a large, fully dynamic catalogue that has to be easy to search, browse and buy from, on any device.

The Challenge
A large, complex catalogue. Hundreds of products across dozens of categories and brands, with variants for colour, strength, resistance and flavour.
Deal-driven buyers. Shoppers look for multi-buy offers and savings, so deals need to be visible everywhere.
Compliance. Every page has to carry UK age restrictions (18+), TPD-compliant stock messaging and nicotine warnings.
Speed and mobile. Most orders happen on phones, so search, filtering and checkout must be fast and effortless.
The Solution
1. Homepage and navigation
A prominent header search and a mega menu covering every category: e-liquid, vape kits, pre-filled vapes, pods and coils, mods and tanks, nic pouches, accessories, brands and deals.
A hero with quick category tiles showing "from" prices.
A trust bar: free UK delivery over £40, same-day dispatch, TPD-compliant stock and 30-day returns.
Merchandising sections:
deal banners;
new and trending products;
best sellers;
shop by category, brand and flavour;
customer reviews;
a blog and advice section.
2. Category pages with faceted filters

Each category page has sub-category tiles and faceted filters for brand, battery capacity, number of batteries, charging, flavour profile and price. Product cards show sale and multi-buy badges, ratings, stock status and "was/now" pricing.
3. Rich product pages
Product page with variants, long-form content, FAQs and cross-sells
Product pages include:
an image gallery and variant selection;
delivery and dispatch info;
long-form, SEO-rich content with feature imagery and specification tables;
"what's in the box" and FAQs;
"works with this kit", recommended e-liquids and "you may also like" carousels that increase order value.
4. Brand directory, new products and basket

A filterable New Products page.
A clean basket with quantity controls, a discount code field and a "spend £X more for free delivery" nudge.
A secure checkout and account area on a dedicated checkout subdomain.
5. Mobile-first shopping

Every template is built for phones:
full-width search;
tappable category tiles;
two-column product grids with filters;
product pages that are easy to scroll.
6. Design system

The store has a deep-navy, editorial look:
Fonts: Marcellus headings and Figtree for body and UI text.
Colours: action blue for buttons, gold accents, and sale-red badges.
It's applied consistently across category, product, brand and basket templates.
