🎥YouTube Subscription List | Mobile UX Redesign

This is a redesign concept of YouTube's Subscription list feature based on a specific problem with the sorting option that seems like a great UX opportunity to explore and implement to make the experience much better.

The existing App/Website has three sorting options that organize the list by Most Relevant, New Activity, and A-Z.

But still, the user has to scroll through every item on the list if he/she doesn’t know the channel name they are looking for or has to scroll a lot if the desired channel is not at the top which sometimes leads users to search for the channel which takes typing interaction.

Instead of letting the users scroll each and every time through a long list, giving the option of grouping channels into categories that have similar content makes the UX of finding subscribed channels much better.

YouTube has a global audience and most of them use this platform as an income source by creating content as well. Nowadays, people even use YouTube not only for entertainment purposes but also for educational & professional stuff as well.

A user might have hundreds of channels subscribed to his/her list. By categorizing them, users can not only group channels of similar content and name them to their own preference but also they don’t have to scroll through a long list all the time.
