Haunted Heirlooms is a Figma prototype for a themed e-commerce store selling curated vintage and antique items with a dark, gothic aesthetic. The project focused on building a complete, interactive prototype that demonstrates the full shopping experience from browsing to checkout.
The Concept
The brand leans into a moody, atmospheric visual identity: think haunted estate meets curated antique shop. Every design choice, from typography to color palette, reinforces that vibe while keeping the shopping experience intuitive and frictionless.
What I Designed
A fully interactive Figma prototype with linked screens and realistic user flows
Product browsing pages with category filtering and visual product cards
Individual product detail pages with imagery, descriptions, and add-to-cart functionality
A cart and checkout flow designed for clarity and minimal drop-off
A cohesive dark-themed visual system with custom typography and color choices
Design Approach
I started with user flow mapping to make sure the prototype covered the core e-commerce journey end to end. From there, I built out high-fidelity screens in Figma, focusing on the balance between atmosphere and usability. The dark palette needed to feel immersive without making text hard to read or CTAs hard to find.
Key Takeaway
Themed e-commerce is a design challenge because the brand identity has to be strong enough to create a mood, but never at the expense of usability. This project pushed me to find that line and hold it across every screen.
