Lajkonik is a well-established bakery and cafe chain with a rich history. The goal of this redesign was to modernize the brand's visual language while respecting its cultural roots. The new identity seamlessly bridges traditional heritage with contemporary design principles, making the brand highly recognizable, adaptable, and attractive to today’s specialty coffee and artisan pastry consumers.

The Challenge

The brand's original identity centers around the "Lajkonik" — a famous folk figure deeply tied to the history of Kraków. The primary challenge was to simplify this intricate, detailed folklore character into a bold, geometric, and functional emblem without losing its historical soul. The logo needed to perform flawlessly across digital touchpoints (mobile apps, social media) and diverse physical surfaces (embossed coffee cups, uniform embroidery, and large-scale storefront signage).

This strategic redesign elevates Lajkonik into a premium, future-proof brand ready for digital scaling and franchise growth. By focusing on clean, minimalist vector lines, the identity ensures highly cost-effective printing and production for packaging, merchandise, and signage, while significantly strengthening premium brand perception.
