Project overview
Product: POINT
Project type: Self-initiated mobile EdTech concept
My role: Product design, UX/UI, visual direction
Tools: Figma
The challenge
Traditional vocabulary apps separate words from the situations where people actually use them. Learners may memorize a translation but struggle to recognize the same object, construct a phrase or recall it later without a prompt.
The approach
I designed a four-part learning loop around real photography: discover vocabulary inside a familiar scene, inspect one word, build a useful phrase and test recall without showing the label. Every screen keeps the original context visible so meaning is never reduced to an isolated flashcard.
The solution
POINT organizes lessons around places and moments such as a café, garden or breakfast table. Word details combine translation, pronunciation, audio and example usage. Phrase Builder teaches order and grammar, while Quick Recall closes the loop with immediate feedback.
The outcome
The result is a coherent high-fidelity learning experience that connects visual recognition, pronunciation, sentence construction and memory practice. It demonstrates a differentiated product direction ready for prototyping and learner validation.
Deliverables
Product concept, learning flow, mobile information architecture, home and lesson screens, vocabulary details, phrase builder, recall exercise and visual system.
