This was a project for a Japanese Air-conditioner maker via Nextscape, for internal use and also for display at showcases. I was the project leader, architect and main programmer of the application.
This project involved creating algorithms that would allow visualization of temperature and airflow data in real time in a AR headset with limited memory and processing power, so there was an emphasis on making the application as responsive and light as posible. To do this it was necessary to work with highly optimized algorithms and parallelism.
The application was created using Unity for the Hololens 2 with MRTK.
It read and files previously uploaded to the device, and created 3D visualizations of temperature and airflow with that data.
The application was highly customizable, allowing changing size of some objects like the airflow arrows, scale and translation of the space, changing the colors used for the temperature visualization and allowing fine control over the parameters for the data point size of the temperature heatmap, as well as hole filling algorithms.
