This advert for H Samuel was a lovely commission to get. The producer asked me to be involved before the shoot and I had a number of long and in-depth conversations with the director. He had several ideas for the style and vibe of the track but wasn't exactly sure which one was going to work until they started the edit. I produced about 5 tracks and he decided on one of them that sounded a little bit like Arcade Fire.

I had originally temped in some vocals but we decided that it needed a female aesthetic, so I booked a session singer in and she sang the arrhhs beautifully! He also really didn't want the track to have an hard end so we purposely faded it out which is not the norm for commercials. Clients often like to have a 'sting' ending to hit with their logo
