Book Covers

Design of the principle and system of book covers for a collection of MA degree theses. The whole theses series (size, typeface, layout...) was made together with the MA degree students of ENSAAMA school. Each of the students worked on a specific aspect; I worked on the book covers. For the front cover, the rule I set is to imply a typography of one’s choice in combination with a coloured shape. With these two constraints, the rest would be free. For the back cover, the number (following the alphabetical order of the names) asserts the notion of a collection, a team. The spines give a visual impression of all students, while making the series recognisable.
