Design of the 2023 edition style and key visuals for Dutch Design Week, the yearly design event in Eindhoven. Thonik has created the new visual identity of the Dutch Design Week in 2021. The theme of the 2023 edition is "Picture this". It is bringing a sense of imagination while giving shape to the ambitions of designers to create a better world facing the current challenges. The main visual reflects the notion of blur, evoking an imaginative space where everything is still possible. The contrast between focus and unfocus conveys the idea of transitioning into action. The image reveals different layers in which designers operate. The use of the colours creates lightness, and bring a sense of hope and optimism for tomorrow’s world.
