The Challenge

When I had my wedding in 2023, a close friend who had just started-out in event and wedding photography offered to cover photography. I was skeptical but I decided to give him a shot. The long and short is that I was pleased with experience. I could perceive that he needed good brand visibility and recognition. I also offered to build a visual identity system as my way of appreciation.

The Process

I had a strategy session with my friend to understand his brand essence; objectives, goals, values and personality. He wanted a classic brand that felt modern and sophisticated.
I went through research into the photography industry, brainstormed and built a mood baord for his brand.

The Solution

The inspiration of the logo mark sterms from a combination of representatives of three elements; a frame, letter 'O' and a flashlight. The resulting mark is a geometric symbol along with a modern typeface and colour palette that projected the personality and visual identity that would appeal to the target audience ( young love birds seeking to create memories)
