The Client

Dra. Work Kloset was a fashion eCommerce focused on selling high-quality and original medical garments to women doctors in Spain and Portugal. The owner wanted a brand that would reflect luxury and elegance while remaining professional. The brand needed a strong logo and color palette that was recognizable online as the whole strategy would be digital. Furthermore, the brand needed packaging and creative direction for the items photos to sell through an eCommerce platform.

The Design Process

As I knew and understood the client's vision for the start, I was able to quickly reference some stablished brands that would serve as inspiration throughout the process such as Chanel, Dior or Louis Vuitton. With these brands in mind, I started designing the icon or logomark for my client.
Using the business initials - D, W, K-, I created a symmetrical icon that was responsive for its digital communications, recognizable, elegant, and that could also be implemented in the garments as an emblem.
Once the logomark was designed, I studied fonts and typefaces that I could use for the full logo, which had to include the name of the business. I knew I wanted a modern, clean serif that I could manipulate to emphasize the idea of luxury and elegance. Bigilla was the winner, and with a few customizations the result was this:
Next was the color palette. The client wanted to have a golden color as the primary to send that message of luxury to its clients, so my goal was to add complementary colors that could be used in backgrounds. The colors would need to feel feminine, elegant, and exclusive, and this was the winner palette with Goldenrod as primary color, Champagne Pink, Blue Sapphire and Ivory as complementary.

The Implementation

Part of the business was to sell physical products, so the client needed packaging that had to resonate with the brand. I designed tags for the garments, thank you cards, a pattern using the logomark to print on wrapping paper, stickers... Alongside all these printed materials, as the business sold online, its digital presence was a must to ensure clients knew about it. As part of the branding, I designed a wide variety of social media templates and guidelines to use on the business social media accounts. Furthermore, I also included how the product photography should be to feel elegant, feminine and professional for both social media and website.
Lastly, once all the previous worked was approved and I had all the necessary assets, I designed the business website using the platform Squarespace so the client could have the autonomy these type of platforms allow to make changes and maintain it without the need of hiring my services again.
