SmartPay — Designing a B2B Crypto Payments Platform

SmartPay began in 2019 as an early concept called “CoinSmart for Business” — a crypto payments solution designed to help businesses accept Bitcoin and manage conversions through a structured dashboard. When I first collaborated on the project as a freelance designer, there was no defined UX, no product system, and no brand structure — only a functional list of requirements. Over the next two years, my role evolved from web designer to product designer, leading the interface structure, visual system, and brand maturity of SmartPay. The Challenge Crypto platforms at the time were built for traders, not businesses. SmartPay needed to feel: Operational Trustworthy Financially mature Clear and efficient The product had to support invoicing, wallet creation, QR payments, auto-sell functionality, and blockchain transparency — without overwhelming business users.
